To provide shelter and supportive services to
homeless men following discharge from a health care facility as
they recover to a state of independence.

Those We
Serve
Our guests are homeless men over the age of 18. These
men need to recuperate from illness, injury or surgery.
Being homeless has become a way of life for some of
these men who are referred to the shelter. For others,
being without a home and in need of post-hospital rest
is a first time experience and a frightening one.
All of the men referred to the Respite Shelter are in a
time of crisis.
For these guests to experience full medical recovery, we
provide them with:
* Physical recovery through shelter, nourishing food and
attention
* Information about community housing and job resources
to get them back on their feet
* Help to identify long term care needs.
Ongoing Needs
* Men’s casual clothing (short and long pants, waist
sizes 30-34 most needed); men’s new boxer shorts and
socks; winter jackets
* Men’s shoes and belts
* Twin sheets and bath towels
* New pillows and cases
* Paper products
* Food, both perishable and non-perishable
* Volunteers
* Cash donations are always welcome
